Postive Turnaround

Positive Turnaround was launched in early 2021 pan London to support ex-offenders who had completed their license and supervision requirements. The goal of the project was to help ex-offenders build themselves up through training and ultimately find paid employment. Through the Prime Contractor LTEN, Careers Academy successfully delivered the Positive Turnaround project, which ended in August 2023. Since early 2021, Careers Academy has been able to engage with 290 clients, support 223 into short skills training, 116 into jobs, 8 into placements and 46 of hose who entered paid employment sustained their jobs beyond 6 months

We support adult ex-offenders with one or more criminal convictions or causations, who have completed all supervisions and license requirements and are looking for sustainable employment.

Pathways to Work: 

Pathways to Work was funded by European Social Fund and led by Paddington Development Trust. In 2021, Careers Academy engaged with 32 unemployed and economically inactive clients in pan London to support them into training and help them into paid employment. As a result of the project, Careers Academy engaged with 32 individuals with multiple barriers, supported 8 into training and 3 into jobs.

Pathways to Work was made possible thanks to funding from the European Social Fund. Led by Paddington Development Trust, our initiative engaged with 32 unemployed and economically inactive clients across London, providing them with support and guidance to help them secure training opportunities and find paid employment. Throughout the project, Careers Academy successfully connected with 32 individuals facing multiple barriers, making a significant impact by assisting 8 of them in accessing training programs and helping 3 secure fulfilling jobs.
